DELIA CRISTINA DÍAZ
Argentinian artist
At 11 years old, I started taking drawing classes in my hometown, Alcorta, a few kilometers from Rosario, Argentina. While playing as a kid, I learned how to set a shape on paper, use colored pencils, and, little by little, observe how to create volume with lights and shadows.Later, living in Rosario, I began a degree in Visual Arts at the Visual Arts Institute. During six years of study, I studied different branches of art, such as sculpture, ceramics, stage design, graphic design, drawing, and painting. Although my abstract decorative works represent me very well because of the dynamism and sensibility of the colors, I also feel very identied with the perfection of the details by my beloved drawing teacher, Maggy Lezana. My work is distributed throughout New York, Los Angeles, and Argentina, and I am constantly searching for ways to make my art carry a message and continue transmitting pleasant things.
